Healer's Lore..?

"When you grant healing with one of your cleric powers that has the Healing keyword, add +3 to the number of restored hit points."

How does this interact with Beacon of Hope? Once activated, that grants all healing powers +5 hit points healed until the end of the encounter. With Healer's Lore, does that mean all healing is at +8..?

I would say so. It doesn't unbalance anything and by chosing those powers you have commited yourself to make a powerful healer.

No.

The base part of Beacon of Hope that heals 5hp would have the +3 added (so heal 8), but the second effect of adding +5 to heals for the rest of the encounter wouldn't add it. It is not an effect that heals, it is adding to heals.

So when you Healing Word after Becon of Hope, you would heal: [Healing Surge] + 1d6 + 3 (Healer's Lore) + 5 (Beacon of Hope). You wouldn't add the Healer's Lore bonus twice.

I came here to ask the same question.
My thoughts were in-line with Dire Weasel.
It grants it to the initial heal but not to the ongoing effects.
So everything after you cast that gets +5 for Beacon and +3 for Lore. Not +8 and +3.
