D&D General Heartwarming

Just read this, and wanted to share it far and wide. It was originally posted on another forum - not sure about the rules. If there is a problem, I can alter, but I just figured it would be better to post a link to the post and we can discuss here.

Though I don't play D&D much anymore and have moved on, it will always have a place in my heart. Yes, its ubiquitous, sometimes to the detriment of the hobby as a whole. But it is the portal through which people of all ages, genders, races, nationalities and even religions are welcomed into the hobby. And for that, it has my thanks.

Awwww, what a sweet story!

(And just inject some contrarianism, I don't believe having a most popular RPG is detrimental to the RPG as a whole--the opposite, in fact.)

Great story of playing D&D with Gram-Gram. I did need to enlarge the screen to read it, or register I guess, but liked it all the same. I still get to play with my day and feel lucky each time.
