wow. reveal and atom crash, you've got to be the only DMs i've ever seen say they liked this one.

anything that messes with time like this module did is very hard on a campaign.

It didn't really mess with time, as far as I'm concerned. The PCs were drained and had to kill their younger selves. Now, I did just make the PCs old and not venerable as the book said. That would have been too much. The players had a lot of fun with this and cheered whenever they killed one of the duplicates. :)
 

I liked this module mainly for the fact that it forces the PCs to fight the toughest foes they will ever face -- themselves! How innovative is that?

If you're like me, then you're constantly amazed at how easily the PCs overcome some of the toughest challenges. Make them old and weak and force them to fight hale young versions of themselves, and you've got a great challenge.

We ruled that the copies couldn't duplicate psionic powers, so the one character with psionics allowed the PCs to overcome their younger alteregos. Otherwise, I don't think they could have pulled it off.
