Hellboy cthulhu

Persistent rumors abound that "At the Mountains of Madness" is in development by Guillermo del Toro.

Man, I'd love to see that happen.

Just bought the DVD set yesterday, never saw it in the theaters. I watched it but I was interrupted so much I need to watch it again just to put it all together. A bit later, I did listen to the commentary for a bit and the Director said he was going for a Lovecraftian feel. It's a cool flick though, Pearlman was great.

P.S. I thought In the Mouth of Madness was the best "Lovecraftian" flick.
True that! In The Mouth of Madness is very unsettling!

Cheiromancer -> Hellboy usually is more at risk of being corrupted (as in "flaming crown") than of being killed (although he would've bought the farm if not for Liz).

For those who read Wake the Devil,
Rasputing sucked the blue flame out of Liz and ended up with a hole in his chest... Any chance he can come back with blue flame pouring out of his chest, like in Wake The Devil?

I never got the impression that Hell-boy was ever in any real danger. He just seemed so darn indestructible. So the suspense was kinda lacking.
Yeah, that's probably why I also thought the action scenes and general suspense level weren't quite as good as they should have been.
After building up that one freaky Nazi assassin, he was handled quite easily by Hellboy too.
Lots of stuff like that.
