Just set my VCR to record it.

Okay, this blows. I was originally going to tape this when I realized that I'd probably like it enough to transfer it to DVD-R, so I decided to just record it on my DVD recorder and skip the middle man. Since I knew I was recording it, I decided to do some other stuff that needed to be done. After the movie was over, I stopped the disc. When I went to double check it before finalizing it, I discovered that it stopped recording the movie at the 1 hr 14 min mark! Apparently, it's a defective disc since it said that there was no more room to record on it. Did I mention that this blows?

Does anyone know if this is repeating again (since it looks like it won't be on DVD until Feb of next year)?

It is just starting here. I can't wait to watch it. I can't stand commercial breaks anymore, there are too many and most are complete crud. It is a rarity if I watch something I haven't taped.

Just finished watching it. Entertaining, but the totally westernized Japanese tragedy for our tastes. The samurai should have killed himself after disobeying his daimyo or the daimyo should have done the same after his first or second failure. Or the two lovers should have. But of course, I actually like happy endings, I just expected more traditional Japanese story telling.

Villano, no unless it some how magically pops up again on Toonami's schedule...some how.

And this was a SWEET movie. True it's not of Mike's style but it has the feeling of Mike and the live action movie. Certainly Ron Pearlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones were awesome. The others of the cast, Peri Gelpin (as Agent/Professer Kate Corrigan) and who ever did Russell Thorne make appearances also. This movie had TONS of references to Japanese mythology along with incorporating the usual Hellboy elements too.

I hope the ratings were high AND the DVDs sell out. I honestly want to see this made into a series along with Spawn too.

Yeah well at least Hellboy made sure the Damiyo understood if this kept up, Hellboy would have creamed him. Not that could blame him.

My question is, is are these two movies to Hellboy what Clonewars was to Episode 2 and 3?

Can we believe that these animated movies are sequals to the movie, and that the next movie takes place AFTER them?

Clone Wars was a sequel to Episode 2 and a prequel to episode 3. So you never know this could happen with other movies as well.

There was an interview on a comics podcast by the producer stating that this was it's OWN thing, separate from the comics and Movie, and that Mignola only agreed to it if it DIDN'T look like the comics.
