Hrm. I was pretty disappointed in the actual Hellboy costume/make-up/FX; it really looks like a man in a rubber mask to me. The problem -- and you can see this clearly in the trailer -- is that his face doesn't move at all when he talks. He's like an old Scooby Doo cartoon where only the lips move on the cartoon face. :-( I'm not sure why this is, since Abe Sapien is under just as much make-up and you can still see him talk in a natural fashion. (Or as natural as you'd expect a fish-man to talk anyway.)

I heard the movie takes a little different turn from the comic but in the end works out for a good movie.

That is just Pearlman... he was the beast in the T.V. show Beauty and the Beast. He did the same thing in that show. He is a good actor like I said earlier.

Nothing excites me more than seeing a new Mike Mignola book, Hellboy or not, on the stands! (Comics-wise, that is. )
