A great use would be to to be a warlock with the paladin multi class feat, which gives the Divine Challenge ability.

You hit a monster with Hellish rebuke
You use the Divine challenge encounter ability
The monster can either attack you and take damage if it hits you, attack somebody else with a penalty and take damage.

That is a potentially nasty synergy, but I like it. I think one of my adventures will feature a paladin/warlock of Asmodeus with this trick.
