Hello there

Edena_of_Neith

First Post
Hello to ENWorld and everyone I know here, from Edena_of_Neith. :)

How are you all?
What's happening with you?
How has our Hobby progressed?
How is ENWorld doing?

Just saying hi.
I'd post here more, but I know so very little about D&D 3.5, and thus I can't make relevant comments on it!

Hello, I am doing well and thank you for asking, I hope you are.

What is happening with me? I have been losing weight down 20 odd pounds just by watching what I eat, feeling good about it too. Work is work and while it is not fun, it is not bad but I feel I am more bady-sitter than anything else. :) Starting to enter the holiday season and that is a depressing time for me, all the reasons from all the movies for it.

My hobbies have been on hold and I do not know why, just have lost interest in reading and gaming over the last couple of months. May be a seasonal thing, too much other things having to do.

EN.World? A few months ago at GENCON I was worried about the future of EN.World but that has pasted and think it is a great place. Community sums it up, while we do not know each other all that well, while some of us disagreee with others, while we all have thoughts and ideas, we come together and care about each other, the game, our interest. I think that is rare on the internet, yes there are other sites and yes they have their own groups but it is atmosphere of being welcomed and society that EN.World has. I think EN.World is doing fantastic.

I hope you are doing well, I hope everyone else is too.

Take care.

Wow, E_o_N, that's probably the shortest post of yours I've ever seen. ;)
  1. I'm fine, thanks.
  2. More gaming all the time, thankfully. A homebrew "d20 Fantasy" game that I'm running, an Eberron game that I'm playing in, occasional "standard" D&D oneshots, and looking to revive a d20 Call of Cthulhu game as well.
  3. Has it progressed? Seems much the same as it always has in many respects. The "d20 bubble" has shrunk, as predicted, and there are fewer, but in general better, publishers in the industry these days. Production values and quality are up in the d20 market. WotC continues to march along much as they always have, with both complaints and praise from the faithful. In general, I'd say that many publishers have become a bit more daring in the last few years, which is good. d20 is being "tweaked" much more extensively to provide for a more varied play experience. Many are eagerly looking forward to Green Ronin's Blue Rose for a "rules lite" roleplaying and social interaction heavy version of d20, for example. Speaking of Green Ronin, they're also making waves with their licensed settings and other "themed" settings; Testament, Troy, Hamunaptra, Black Company, Thieves' World, etc. It's fun to see that happen. Other new, and apparently quite popular settings in the mix include Eberron and Iron Kingdoms.
  4. Apparently quite well. Things look good for a new server that won't bog down during the afternoon (Eastern Time) like the current one does. Many of the old stalwarts are still around, being stalwart.
  5. I actually know fairly little about 3.5 as well. The only 3.5 core book I picked up is the MM. I do use the SRD a bit for the 3.5 games I'm in, though. Most of the discussion, however, at least in General, are independent of edition, or heck, even of system, to some degree.

Hey there, 'Dena.

I'm happy, but unemployed, and not writing as fast I'd like. ENWorld is still a great place. As always, it's ideas, not rules, that make our gaming so fun.

Wow, he trolls here too.

Polite? Nah, not really. Rude? You betcha. Please don't be intentionally nasty to people here. If you don't care for someone it's easy to ignore them, but threadcrapping isn't appreciated.
