Spectral Hand can fight normally and cast touch spells. It defiantly implies it works like a normal hand. If you use the already cheesy permanent metamagic, and find a way to shove it into an eternal wand, then you have a somewhat cheesy way of using a hand as normal.

You mean persistent metamagic, right? That's a +6, which won't usually work with any wand.

Making a custom item of it could work, but the cost might be similar enough to the Gloves of Man that you might as well use the gloves.

If this is generally accepted as a functional hand, this might work, a Rogue can easily use a level 2 spell from a wand.

Deepspawn feat. Pick pockets with your tentacles, then if you are detected, just pull your handless arms out of your pockets and shrug with innocence.
