HELP: Do Damaged flying creatures lose ability to fly?

It's not a question of gimping flyers. It's more a recognition that flying is an inherently different, even risky, form of movement when it is done under your own muscle power. I always liked the rule back in 1e. It meant that the flying advantage was coupled with a certain amount of risk and unreliability, being unavailable if your flying mount were not in tip-top condition.

I'm not particularly fussed it didn't make it into 3E, though.
