5x10 facing dragon. Size Large. 18 HD. He fit alright. :)

Hmm, I guess I missed the size of the dragon. But does that facing include tail length and wingspan? Facing isn't everything. I guess it's a gray area, but I think I would have at least allowed the dragon a Reflex save to see if any part of its body interfered with the wall. Oh well, at least the dragon is still around to exact bloody vengeance. :>

<nods>

You didn't miss it, I hadn't mentioned it specifically. But yes, the size of the sphere was brought into question and in the interest of keeping things fun ruled that as it encircled the mini, the spell worked. Though on second thought I could have been a real RBDM and ruled that since the room was filled with webs that there was no way the wall of force could be unbroken and thus it failed.

But I like the way it worked out.

Oh, and *bump* for the returning morning crowd.

The mood through the whole session was down, depressed, and fatalistic, as though the PC's just couldn't believe they ever had a chance (of course those first five rounds of zero double digit rolls from the party hurt, but five rounds a 12 hour session do not make).

But when the force sphere worked and they realized what they were doing, looting the dragon under his nose.... They all in game and out of game exploded into laughter.

Release I guess.

The laughter did not improve the dragon's mood.

I wonder how the PC's are going to feel when they realize, they still didn't get what they originally came here for (in the mission that lost them their ally which necessitated this mission to retrieve him). Of course, *I* know the dragon is not there and aside from finding a new home is consumed by the drive to advance his sorcery to the point that that NEVER happens to him again, but they don't...

Here's hoping they don't scry and teleport in on him again.... :D
