If living creatures are placed within the bag, they can survive for up to 10 minutes course if theres a caster you could use a spell or two to increase/mitigate the time limit

For some reason Dandu's comment made me wonder... has anyone used a Portable Hole in-game as a pool/bath? Fill it with water, fold it up, and you're set to go... unfold in case of emergencies or skimpily clad fey.
