Help me brainstorm some flexible income ideas...

This brings up another idea, actually. Videotaping houses for use as sales tools. There are a couple of realtors in the Chicago area that do this, some also do 360 degree I-PIX photography (and in some cases hire freelancers to shoot using their cameras). I-PIX is not difficult to do - I learned it in an hour.

Also intriguing. I know some realtor types and I'll have a chat with them about this.

This thread has really exceeded my expectations. I guess I should have learned that about ENWorld by now, huh? ;)

Or, you've just learned to have really really low expectations with many of us here at ENW. :D

For instance, did you ever doubt that I'd pick up Vraille Darkfang's amateur porn comment and run with it?

Not for a second. But I love that about you guys. It makes me feel less deviant.

So I'm self employed as a legal videographer. I shoot videos of people giving depositions. I really enjoy it and it pays very well while I'm doing it. My problem is that work has been rather slow for the last few weeks and I'm going a bit crazy because I feel like I'm not contributing to the financial success of the family. I can't exactly go get a part time job because I have to retain flexibility to take video jobs whenever they come up and this can sometimes be on very short notice.

What I need is some kind of work that I can pick up and put down as my schedule demands. It doesn't need to pay a lot, just so that I can do SOMETHING and be productive in my off hours. Even when business is doing well, I tend to have a lot of free time that I could put to better use.

Just to head this off at the pass, I am not (for now at least) considering going into the Wedding Video business. This would require some capital expenditures that I'm not capable of making right now.

Any ideas?
See if you can find a place that employs people who work from home. Queen_D does a fair amount of her legislative research work on the internet at home, and only goes into the office so she can preserve the payscale she got when she was in the office full-time. It's good money, not hard, and definitely time flexible. I don't know if her crew is hiring (though they might be) but even if they aren't, she might be able to point you in the right direction.
