Our DM loves the Quintessential books and owns 'em all -- I'll take a peek before next session to review Cast on the Run.

Thanks for the compliment!! The initial idea behind this gnome PC is that he was a devotee of Boccob, who was so interested in magic that he began taking Wizard levels. As it happens, though, he frequently travels with an elven druid (his best friend) and has become very interested in "earth" magic. Now I'm looking to move this character along the path of the Geomancer PrC. Definitely not the most optimal character progression of all time, but he's damn fun to play

I'm still leaning towards Craft Wand if an exception can be made...if not then Craft Wondrous is the likely choice given his infatuation with magic.
