Help Me Find Dark Fantasy Novels! Please!

Possibly the greatest Dark Fantasy book ever written is Something Wicked This Way Comes, by Ray Bradbury. Bradbury has a very dark turn to his work at times.

Hm. And it then follows that some Harlan Ellison also qualifies. Deathbird Stories, for example - it is a collection of short stories, rather than a novel, but it sure is dark.

wow, however disturbing that image is (Godzilla with tenticles)...
I'm seeing more of a normal Godzilla wrestling some giant thing covered in cosmic menstrual blood that thinks it's an angel. And it's lonely. Wait, they're both lonely.

That's it.

Toho wans to play up the sympathy for thier Homie G-zilla. This is why he has been trashing other monsters for Japan's overall benefit for some time. The American 1998 move was not allowed by toho to show godzilla eating human beings for nourishment to protect the image of thier property.

It's been quite a while since the Big G was really portrayed as "Friendly" that was mostly from the late "Showa" era (up to the 70's) movie thing.

But my boggling wasn't about Toho not going with Barker's treatement, it was that I can't even IMAGINE what a Clive Barker's Godzilla would have been like. It's like "James Cameron's Care Bears the Movie". My mind just comes up with a blank trying to picture where something like that would be going.
