Help me make a unique group of henchmen!

The dwarven monk in my last game inspired me to create a new group of villains to put against the PC's. They are in Sigil, and the monk ruffed up a teenage human tout which brought the wrath of a dozen more teenage human & tiefling touts. Luckily no serious brawl broke out, but this gave me the idea to introduce a new villain for the monk to encounter.

My idea is that these kids actually work for a ring-leader who I've decided to be a 6th lvl Kenku Sneak. The Kenku wants payback for disrespecting his touts. I don't want the kids to really be involved, they just work for the Kenku. I'd rather have the Kenku surrounded by real henchmen but I want them to be unique. Can anyone think of any non-core creatures that would fit under the leadership of a Kenku? I'd like something that is child-sized that I could use many of, but something other than Kobolds.

In Sigil? Dretch, Nupperibo, or any other small demons/devils.
For smarter foes, there's Quasits, Imps and Mephits.
Small zombies might be pretty awful too.

Heh, I also just started a campaign based in Sigil and my NPC is a kenku sneak. Not relevant to your problem, but still cool. So what levels are your PCs?

Redcaps. Make them look less like evil old men and more like wicked little kids. I also like witchknives in terms of interesting humanoids with HD, but they're not so kiddish.

Demiurge out.

I thought of Quasits, Imps, or Mephits. I just can't picture them as being the henchmen of a Kenku mentor of children. I was thinking possibly Wererats, but I've used those before. I'm trying to find something that is known to be cowards. The zombie idea might work. Maybe children that died and turned into zombies. I'll look into that.

What a coincidence :) Is he from the Lower Ward also? :P My PC's are all 7th lvl but I'm thinking of using more lower lvl henchman but lots of them.

What book are Redcaps & Witchknives in?

How about wisplings--CR 1/2; halfling-demon progeny with disguise self ability. Heck, maybe these "children" were all disguised wisplings working for the kenku.

Edit: These are planetouched from the Fiend Folio.

Wow, Wisplings might just work. That would be a pretty crazy twist having this group of teenage touts & light boys actually be Wisplings. That way I could still use the "kids" as the henchmen. I'm going to play around with that idea for now, thanks :)

Both redcaps and witchknives are in MMIII. I assumed you had the book, since you're using kenku, but then again they were posted online for free. And there's another redcap (which I'm not as fond of) in Tome of Horrors 2.

Demiurge out.

Dark Creepers in the Fiend Folio, they are small like kids. Mean little stab you in the back kids. They would work well, as would Skulks in the same book. Or even better, make the hencman setup like an adventuring group. Say a Dark Creeper rogue, Wispling bard, a Thorn druid (MM 3), etc etc, all small and unexpectidly deadly. Heck through in a mongrelman Adept or something.
