Help Me Make the Ultimate Con-Man

Not Con-Man as in con artist, but Con-Man as in Constitution Man.

Basically, I'm making a new character at level 10 and I'm trying to make him the ultimate damage soak. Damage output is secondary, the ability to absorb large amounts of damage is the main thing. Additionally, the only splat books that are automatically allowed are Cores, Savage Species, Mini's Handbook.

I was thinking of doing a fighter and then taking the "Roll With It" feat (SS - give 2/- damage reduction each time) many times. However, I'm looking for something even better than that. Maybe a race (half-ogre?)/template, or something else. Anyone have any ideas?

Troll, Survivor prestige class, Roll With It, barbarian if you need prereqs for Survivor. If you really want, give it the Feral template for more goodies.

Round One: Enter the room
Two: Troll moves to do the set goal, like take the horn, pull the lever, etc.
Enemies attack him.
Troll doesn't care.
Friends attack enemies
Three: Troll comes back.
Four: They leave.

It looks like the only prereq for survivor is having hightest base save bonus lower than character level. Also, a troll is a 6HD critter + 5 LA = 11 ECL without any class levels. That could be too high for me at this point in time. Do you think it would matter? (I would be interested in seeing how you did your damage soak).
