Legend
A friend has created a series of puzzles, and is showing them to us to see if we can figure them out. Well, I can't, and it's driving me nuts. There are 25 puzzles in total, each of which has a one-word solution. I'm stuck on number 3.
Number 1 was a list of 10-digit numbers with the hint "ISBN." I searched for the ISBNs that matched those numbers, arranged them, and saw that the first letter in each spelled out the word 'balderdash.'
Number 2 was:
Capital
Alpha World
Paris's Sister
Lidos
with the hint: "Where am I?"
I just googled and found out what a Lido was, and saw that there were lidos in London, which is a capital in the 'old world,' and, according to some websites, is Paris's sister city. Apparently the answer was 'London.'
So the puzzles are kinda wonky, but hey, my friend went to effort to make them, so I want to see if I can figure them out. We are not forbidden from asking from help, so I'm asking.
Puzzle 3 is:
So I've already tried Googling radio stations, with no luck. I don't know if they somehow link up with radio frequencies, or if she means the frequency of the letters. There are 42 letters total, in 11 lines, and if I separate them by letter and count the total I get.
1 B
2 DD
2 FF
4 GGGG
2 HH
3 III
2 KK
3 LLL
1 M
2 OO
1 P
4 RRRR
1 S
2 TT
1 U
7 VVVVVVV
2 WW
1 X
1 Z
There's no A, C, E, J, N, Q, or Y.
However, this helps me not at all. Any ideas?
