Help me visualize tropical bird-man bard!

Yeah, the aarakokra was my first thought, too, but they're butt-ugly vulturemen, aren't they? I'm trying for a beautiful effect, something to justify my 17 charisma. The winged angel is closer to what I'm looking for, but I'd kinda like to be able to have more avian features than just the wings.

This picture from die kluge's link is getting very close.

second edition had them looking more vulturemen. You may want to search on pics of Americian Indians, the engle/raven dancers come to mind.

Another possible depiction of such a character might be something similar to the monkey-birds from the old cartoon Pirates of Dark Water.

Hey, Daniel, here's a quickie. He has green feathers, longer white feathers on the "mohawk" and "whiskers", red feathers around the eyes and chest, everything with a metallic sheen (like a quetzal). The beak-mouth is not a true beak, but is pretty hard (and he has teeth), and light-gray in color. Arms are a bit longer than a human's, whereas the chest has deeper muscles. He has pointed ears, and the eyes are blue.

Back to the point though, check out Complete Arcane, there's a PrC in there and your description seems to fit the picture that accompanies it. It might also be a cool PrC for your character to take also.
