Help Me With A Research Paper on Media Communications

I have a 20 page paper due near the end of the semester, regarding anything dealing with media communications.

Any suggestions on a subject that has an abundance of research material available, but is also specific enough that the amount of information is not overwhelming?

Indeed, you more and more see news reporters having blogs, and it being mentioned (ie "check out X Y's blog @ www.blog.com for more info!") right in the midst of a broadcast, which is a bit innovative.

It seems that a thought-tank/journal taken to a new level via the internet is the way to go, nowadays. It's neat, really
