Help my Addled Memory

Milo Bloom

First Post
Ok so I've been thinking a lot about the products I used to own when I was younger. So far I've tracked down most of the Judges Guild and Role Aids supplements as well as a fair collection of older games. However the name of one particular module escapes me.

Here's what I do remember about the adventure though:

The cover art was of a man dressed in armour standing in a snowy looking mountain pass. It was done mostly in shades of blue if I recall.

The adventure itself consisted of climbing the mountain and fighting various creatures along the way. Including the man pictured on the cover, The Snow King or some such. He had a magic tree upon which he could hang magic items and access their power via a ring he wore on his finger. In addition each piece of his armour contained a different magic power.

Once to the top of the mountain the party enters a cave and begins to explore. After a while they begin to realize that the cave is indeed an ancient titan and he's not doing well mentally. I've forgotten the details on how to cure him or anything like that.

If anyone can recall the name of this adventure I would be very appreciative.

Hijack: hey, did you consider alerting an admin or posting the problem on the meta forum? That's how such things get fixed! Sadly, our mindreading stinks. :)

You had never confirmed your previous account. Since you're using the same email, I confirmed it for you, and it should now work fine. Let me know if you have any problems.

Now, back to the topic at hand!

I e-mailed the admin address a while back...guessed it as a dead end....but thanks pcat...you are my hero for the next oh 5 seconds....some knows that books name and I'll worship them a while now. Driving me nuts. I've hit every online resource I could find. Including scrolling down dealer lists.

best I can recall mountain, snow, or king may figure into the title.

Hornikkun's Guess (or whatever that spell's called)

Just a wild guess (having not been around during the time of the monochrome covers), but could it be "Mountain of the Snow King"? Eh, probably wrong about this (wild guess after all), but it's worth a shot.
Magius out.

Reading about this intruiged me (mostly on the challenge of looking it up with such little to go on, since I never played this adventure). Assuming it was a sufficiently old product, I went to www.acaeum.com

Looking through their archives for product titles related to snow and cold, two possibilities for what this mystery module could be leapt out at me: Either Blizzard Pass or The Great Glacier.

Is it either of those?

went there as well. and the links to the non tsr products lists.

Unfortunatley no....this wasn't a tsr product. I thought it was a Role Aids adventure but no listing there either.

Hrmmm...I thought that too. Couldn't find anything on it. It's frustrating me incredibly.

Mayfair Games did RoleAids. but their covers tended to be a variety of colors.

the all blue cover sounds more like Judges Guild, since they did a lot of single colored covers.

Flying Buffalo Games also did some things for D&D. but mostly supplements...like the City books, etc...

you really are taxing this old brain with this...

are you sure it wasn't a DRagon or Dungeon adventure. Dragon magazine used to have some really cool adventures...and the cover usually reflected the theme of that adventure.

Dungeon, of course, was all adventures. but may have been too late for the time frame you are thinking about...

sorry i couldn't help more.:o

I was fairly sure it was a RoleAids module. just used a blue border with a mostly shades of blue painting...not to say the picture was all blue but it was definitely the overall impression I got from it.

That was from d20 Simpsons

Mister Plow vs. the Plow King

That's "Mister Plow" (yes, that's his name.)

That name again, was "Mister Plow!"
