Help need with plumbing problem

I'm having a plumbing problem at my studio.

The tank is filling at an increadibly slow rate (It takes about 16 hours to fill). That is with the valve turned all the way up. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Is this something I could easily fix (ie - replacing a part easily accessable to me) or is this something I really should get a professional for?

Assuming you're talking about a toilet, when something like happens, your best bet is to replace the entire ball :):):):) assembly. It's cheap, relatively easy, and you have a legitimate reason to say "ball :):):):)" repeatedly.

At least it's not the ball c--0--c-k assembly. :uhoh:

My mom has a similar problem. Her toilet runs and we already replaced the ball assembly.

Yes, it is a toilet.
So I shouldn't walk into Home Depot asking for "That ball thing with the 4 smiley faces"? :D

Is there somewhere I should look for a part number or are these pretty generic?

They're pretty generic, but there are several styles, so look at what you have before you go. Any of them would probably work, but you can be pretty secure that getting the same style will fit.
