Help needed: Firearms in D&D (all editions)

I believe the 1e Unearthed Arcana had the arquebus, but I would not swear to it.

Edit: And iirc the 2e FR Campaign Setting book had mad info on firearms in FR, including wheel locks and 'star pistols' or something like that.

It might be going too far to include the weapons from S3 in your 1e section, but various firearms appeared with Murlynd (iirc) in a module and an issue of Dragon. Couldn't tell ya which of either, though.

Don't have anything 1e, so can't comment on Unearthed Arcana or ... that's Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, right? The Dragon article I mentioned had tons of footnotes with sources, they mention Murlynd, and give many pages references for stuff in both FR (I think it mentioned the FR name was starwheels) and Spelljammer. I don't have any of that material, so unfortunately, I won't be able to add much there.

So 2e is the furthest back I can go. I'll try to put what I can without simply copying the text from the books verbatim. And hope ENWorld doesn't act up either; the other night I finished the PHB rules for arquebus, the DMG rules for smoke powder with a little supplimentary information from the Arms and Equipment Guide and Encyclopedia Magica when I got that damn cookie eating log out and lost all of it. I was so disgusted I didn't feel like redoing it.
