They're all easy to qualify for, and as far as I can tell all of them are 1.5 to 2 times as potent as the standard Wizard or Sorcerer, gaining a great deal and losing nothing at all. the Bardic PrC's are much more balanced.

As far as PrCs apply to Wizards, they lose bonus feats and familiar progression. Sorcerers lose familiar progression as well. Most of these PrCs have more limited skill selection, as well.

Personally, the only Wizard/Sorcerer PrC that I would even consider is the Arcane Devotee from the FRCS, and only if it fit my character concept.

No, most of them explicitly say that they retain familiar progression, I believe, and the majority of wizard PrC's gain two or more bonus feats over ten levels in ADDITION to a slew of bonus abilities.

Hmmm, I was happy with the Fighters and Barbarians book, I really hope the Wizard, Bard, and Sorcerer book isn't as broken as you are making it sound.

On the other hand, most of the 'broken' or at least damaged prestige classes that I have run into for Scarred Lands seem to be wizard or sorcerer based. (And I was really looking forward to Callastian Battle Mages in the Callastia source book too. Sigh.) Come to think of it their most broken CRs for creatures seem to all have sorcerer abilities... This may bear thinking about.

The Auld Grump, no reply from Nightfall yet, eh?
