D&D 5E Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

I'm interested in trying it.

1. Are we allowed to discuss with the other players what classes we are interested in, so we can honor each other's choices?
2. Are all choices available for all picks? Or does each round only have some choices and you can find yourself unable to fill a specific ability score based on randomness?

1) Yes, absolutely.
2) The entire selection grid will be available from the beginning.

To the other players. I'm interested in trying a MAD character to see how the system handles that, but I want to stay away from DEX because of how many builds need it. So I think I'm going to build a paladin, looking for STR, CHR and CON. Don't mind skipping the best CHR if we have any bards, sorcerers or warlocks, but am looking for something decent.

(My first thought was a bladesinger, but needed great DEX and INT and good CON is a bit needy in an ability score auction.)

I like building all sorts of characters, so I may wait to see what other people want to build and work around that. A group effort to make the best of the matrix available is probably pretty key.

Ok, quick explainer. There's two tables, one for stats and one for "extra stuff". There are not enough stats in the table for everyone to get 6 stats, this is intentional. Any stats for your character that you don't draft a stat for will be set at 8.

Everyone has 7 picks, this is enough to get 6 stats and one "extra". You're not limited to one extra, you can absolutely take 3 or 4 if you're willing to risk your other stats being low. Part of what I'm curious to test is if people will prioritize boons like extra feats or magical items over a good array of stats.

Random boons will be determined after the final pick (#49) is made.
