Help Pricing A Knowledge Boosting Item

Greetings All,

unfortunately with the ENWorld accident I don't know if there were any replies etc to my previous post.

So here goes again.

I would like to know what kind of pricing a magic item that gives a bonus on Knowledge skill checks would be like. All Knowledges in this case.

I was thinking perhaps a pair of spectacles that are used to read a particular book perhaps or just spectacles or just a book.

i'd go with the spectacles. find the price of a single skill boost, next find the price of an int stat booster and figure out something in between leaning towards the skill booster of course. an int boost has all sorts of additional benefits so the price for a +6 int head band in more then your max price. calculate for a +5 on say 5 skills and see if it sounds about right. with all sorts of knowledge out there this is a very useful item and yet it will never be as good as a stat bonus right?
