Help. Recharge Magic with a Duskblade

Hello, here is hope that someone can help me with a problem that i have.

I am currently playing in a campaign where we are using the recharge magic variant out of Unearthed Arcana. My problem is that i am playing a Duskblade and being that i cap out at 5th level spells i am really hurt by the recharge magic. Has anyone run into this problem? My dm figured that the only way to make it work is to lump my casting abilities in with the spontaneous casters witch leaves me way underpowered.

Any ideas that i could bring up to my dm would be greatly appreciated.

It was to late and i was out voted the rest of the players in the group wanted it. I still went ahead and made the duskblade. I have pleaded my case saying that when duskblades are able to cast level 5 spells every one else is able to cast level 9s. I would like to hear if anyone else has an opinion on what i can do. I know that rerolling is out of the question, going to see if maybe i can get a rebuild quest worked in, but other than that i am between a rock and a hard place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you're rebuilding you may want to consider going into Warblade since they don't use magic per se, or Psychic Warrior...

But I can't think of any way to help with the Duskblade right now.

If i do rebuild i am prolly going to go warmage. But i am betting they it won't happen so i am just going to keep doing what i am doing. Right now i am duskblade 5 cleric 1 next level i am taking Abjurant Champion. I decided to dabble in cleric for Abjurant Champion because shield of faith gets buffed by the class and i am already running around in fullplate so i am just planning on putting my ac through the roof.
