Help! Rules for Aarakocra PCs

Hi, I was wondering if someone with the FR campaign book (which I own, but its at my parents' house over 100 miles away at the moment) could tell me the rules for aarakocra PCs.

I have Monster of Faerun right in front of me, but what is the ECL for aarakocra, as well as their ability score adjustments and all that kind of stuff.

Thanks in advance!!

The ECL modifier is +1. You can figure out the rest of the racial abilities by looking at the MoF monster entry. For ability score modifiers, just figure out the difference between the racial ability score and 10 (if even) or 11 (if odd) add or subtract that amount to the ability scores you roll.

I'm sure that +1 ECL will change substantially when the monster book comes out. Considering that the aarakocra has natural armor, natural attacks, and flight, I figure it will at least be ECL 3 in Tooth and Claw.

The ECL for monsters is in my opinion almost always too high.

Heh, that's an entire other can of worms. :D

You wouldn't think that a lizardfolk would be ECL 4 on first glance either...but...that's the breaks.

For the curious, I just want to say that Sedek is adjusting nicely to his new (lower) level.

This is what I came up with

Here's what I ended up doing:
-Aarakocra: +2 Dex, -2 Str. Knowledge (nature) +4, Listen +4, Spot +4, Wilderness Lore +4. Claustrophobic: -1 circumstance penalty to attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws when not outside. Flyby Attack feat. Favored Class: Ranger. Aarakocra have a level adjustment of +1.

The Monster of Faerun book gave aarakocra Fighter for their favored class. This is kind of silly given that the average stats for aarakocra according to that book is Str 9, Dex 15, and the rest of the stats 10 or 11.

I added the Claustrophobic disadvantage, because I remembered back in 2e Humanoid Handbook, that they had something like this. Do you all think that's an appropiate ruling?

Also, should the aarakocra have some sort of disadvantage when fighting on the ground or manipulating items in midair with the the hands on their wings?
