Help satisfy my morbid curiosity. When monkeys attack...

A couple of months ago at the gaming table, a friend told a story about a quadripalegic former race car driver that had a couple of helper monkeys. One day his wheelchair topples and the monkeys ate parts of him (like his face). He waffled on whether or not the monkeys actually did him in, unclear on whether they started eating him while still alive.

It has the ring of an urban legend, but it could happen I guess. Monkeys and chimps are mean critters.

Anyone heard this story, and better yet, does anyone have a link to it? Couldn't find anything with Google.

Yeah, I found that story iin my search of the other. here's another take on it, with a bit more clarity on the actual events. That guy got seriously mutilated, and the folks responsible for the chimps didn't get slapped with so much as a fine.

You've got to be pretty deluded to keep a chimp as a pet. Even more deluded than someone who owns a pit bulldog. :\
