I have a decision to make and wanted to get some ideas of what people wanted.
Our Kickstarter is up and running and it uses cards for everything including damage. We have alternate rules for dice(not difficult). What I am wondering is, how much would it matter to you if the rules of a game, not even ours, came out and it was 100% card based versus having both sets of rules?

I ask because referencing both can take a lot of space and doubles some of the editing and so forth. I just figured I would put it out there and see what the majority of gamers think.

Poll will be included.
Thanks all!

Our Kickstarter page Link explains a bit more about the rules the cards use. Basically stat + skill + card over assigned difficulty.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like its pretty mixed. I will wait for a couple days or weeks before bringing it to the group. Excellent.

Thank you for the votes the combined polls on a couple forums helped us come to a decision on how to handle the combination of rules!

During this same time we also added a couple new rewards to the Kickstarter if anyone is interested.

I would go with Cards only.

If the "theme" of your game is that everything is resolved with cards, then adding a dice system to it will prevent you from designing cool mechanics that can only be achieved through cards because they can't be translated into dice.

I have no knowledge of how the system works, but let’s say you have a power/skill/whatever that lets look at the top card of your deck and choose to use it for your resolution or exchange it for the card on the BOTTOM of the deck. That would be cool but impossible to replicate with a dice system.

Commit to the Card thing 100%, that's what I'm saying.

Thanks! That is what we decided to do in the end, with a downloadable dice rules section. The game world, atmosphere, and just overall feel is very entwined with cards. I really appreciate the feedback!
