Help the new kid?

I just started playing d&d last week, and I love it. Problem is, I would love to have a character sheet that I could update on my computer and print out each week that lists my feats, and spells, and what they do so I wouldn't have to spend the whole session flipping pages in my handbook. Anyone have any ideas where I can get one?

Thanks!

I'm sure there are some, but I don't know any.

I just make my own in things like Word (previous editions of D&D; RIFTS), Excel (HERO)*, or "fill in the blank" templates in the Notepads of my personal electronic devices (formerly a Palm Tungsten, now an iTouch).

* And I know of a good Excel one for Mutants & Mastermind.

Thank you. I did see that. But do u know of one that doesn't cost anything?
If you are asking for a computer-managed character sheet, iPlay4e - play 4e Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) online! is the best I know of. It requires a D&Di subscription to generate the character file (in dnd4e format), but a friend, perhaps someone else in your group, might be able to take care of that.

As for a thorough computer-generated printable character sheet, I cannot recommend any, although I've looked at quite a few. They are all terrible, in my opinion. The official one is about 6 pages long at first level, and fails to highlight many important details on it. If you want to work with paper, my best recommendation is http://www.enworld.org/forum/4e-fan-creations-house-rules/272105-zins-character-sheet.html because it has a column to list all the conditional powers and effects your character has, which is the toughest part of the game to deal with for me. Despite being human-generated, it helps crunch some of the numbers, but is far from being thoroughly computer-generated.

There are some good 4e Excel character sheets out there. The only downside is that they generally don't have the auto-calculated power details, but these are pretty easy to type up yourself on a new page. And if you know some basic Excel stuff, you can put in the power calculations yourself without much trouble.
