help with mini sculpting!

Does anyone here have any experience sculpting miniatures for your games? If so, could give me some advice on making the armature and bulking the mini out? Also, do you do the leg and torso together, with arms and head separately? I have also thought about using GW skeletal soldiers as armatures, so please comment on that too! Thanks in advance!

GW skeletons might not have the right puportions to be a base for a mini. Just saying...

Practicing on a peice of non drying putty or clay might be helpfull for honing your skills.

I saw a video of a fella that would sculpt his own and then make copies of them using an epoxy/resin mixture to make the duplicates.

There is a website that goes into more detail but I can't think of it off the top of my head.

I thought that I could make copies of bad guy individuals to bulk up an army, so to speak, but I don't think I have the time or talent to sculpt one from scratch.

Then don't discuss it here unless you have bought / negotiated the casting rights to the figs you'd be copying. This board is fairly strict on issues of copyright.
