Help with primeval

First Post
I am experimenting with a primeval and I need a way for my character to cause some aggro.
I am making a 4 character party to play some wotc adventures by myself for experimentation.
I wanted to make a decoy character who would be able just stand and take everything the opponent give him but a friend of mine mentioned that this build will just stand in the middle of the battlefield and do nothing because if he is unable to do serious damage, no one will attack him. I though about it and i think he might be right, so now I need some help modifying the build.

The original build was:
Mongrelfolk Chaos Monk(1)/Strong-Arm Ranger(3)/Stoneblessed(3)/Deepwarden(2)/Fist of the Forest(1)/Primeval[Dire Vulture](8)/Warshaper(2)
feats: steadfast determination, sacred vow, vow of poverty (the rest are the prerequisites for the prcs)

after some thought I decided to change the race to dwarf and the build i have in mind now is

Dwarf, Base Class(9?)/Deepwarden(2)/Fist of the Forest(1)/Primeval[Dire Vulture](6)/Warshaper(2)

I don't want to change the role of the build. I still want him to be a decoy but i want to give him some offensive capabilities so that the enemies take him seriously and focus as match of their firepower as possible to him.

Can anyone help?

VoP isn't really necessary, as you said just be a dwarf your speed changes anyway. This frees up more fist of the forest and any monk should have improved natural attack. Dragon magazine has beast strike that adds claw or slam damage to unarmed strike. I would say scrap the chaos monk and instead have unarmed swordsage you get martial maneuvers while still getting the same prerequisites.
