Heroes of Gracia Episode 4, Shadowguard, is not for sale.
With the events at the Ruins of Aridas behind them, Antilos, Nalgaar, and Tanryn return to Ansti for what is supposed to be a brief stop to resupply before venturing back out into the wilderness. Such a brief stay is not to be the case, however. An evening at the White Wyvern Tavern reveals that the city watch has all but been replaced by a volunteer organization calling itself Shadowguard. Antilos is intrigued, and he decides to join while Tanryn sees to her business as a priestess of Aheryll.
When Tanryn enters the temple, the high priestess presents Tanryn with an offer she shouldn’t refuse. Despite this, her faith has been shaken by the things she witnessed in Aridas. This forces her to make a decision, but will it be one she can live with?
As their paths lead in divergent directions, it becomes clear that all is not well in their home city. A dire threat lurks just beneath the surface, and it’s up to them to try and expose it.
Shadowguard is the fourth novella of The Heroes of Gracia, an episodic series set in The Endlands, a shared fantasy world created by Scott Fitzgerald Gray.
