Heroes of the Astral Sea/Elemental Choas/Far Realms

I think most likely these will come out anyway so why not speculate and offer ideas. Besides speculating can be fun.

You're right. Sorry to have jumped on the post the way I did.

To make a more constructing (and on-topic) response, I agree with the previous suggestion that githyanki would be the natural race to see here, or perhaps a more fully developed bladeling.

An astral raider type PC could be good too.

Actually, thinking about it, I think something that might work would be some sort of class that really is designed for campaigns starting at paragon tier. After all, astral sea and elemental chaos are not really heroic tier material. Perhaps something that allows a simpler entry point for starting a character at level 11, allowing the player a better chance to get the feel for his or her character. Rather than having a Paragon Path, its just a class that starts at level 11 and then moves onto the Epic Destiny. I've often found that when campaigns try to start at higher levels it invariably causes problems for the first few sessions as the players try to figure out what their characters can really do.

Mind you, I'm not sure what kind of class this would be, but I think most of the ones mentioned might fit in here. Certainly an Astral Raider would make sense for instance.

No problem, it is only a game and I think it would be silly of me to get bent over it. Besides I'm a very cool headed person generally and usually very diplomatic. Not to mention I'm saving up my nerd rage for the possible election coming up in my country (Canada). It time to get rid of Harper and his side kick Iffy. But that is for another thread on another site.

Astral Pirate could work as a rogue builder simular to the Divine Seeker Prestige class crossed with more pirately stuff. I see it as a kind of Privateer empower and chartered not by the state but the church to rob rivals faiths to enrich they're own as well as to steal secrets. Alternately they could have a double priest as is featured in many realmsian novels which could focus on a class or build that infiltrates the enemy faiths by decieving not just church officials but through the power of thier God decieving the enemy god as well into granting them power. It could have different roles depending on the characters cover.

I really don't think you need to have paragon-starting classes. You just need a book that includes a guide on starting at paragon. Also, as Planescape shows, you don't NEED to start off at higher levels to enjoy the planes. Every major region has a point of light you can start off in and terrain that is survivable, even the Abyss.

Honestly, I would like to see a couple mini-adventures and more planar locations. There isn't a ton of planar material for 4E DM's.

New planar locations would be cool execpt that it would be for the core dominions. I find the FR and Ebberon planes more interesting personally and info on them would be cool.

Planar Druid or Shaman, a build for druids or Shamans that communes not with the material world and its creatures and spirits, but with the inherent nature of the planes is wild life and spirits. Instead of being based around gods or seasons it would be characters the draw power from an astral dominion. If a Shaman instead of getting a primal spirit pet, it would get an immortal spirit. Instead of having Sentinels of spring and summer it would Planars of Gates of the Moon or Towers of Night or Hell or Deep Wilds or Avandor.
