I don't get it, if he didn't eat, talk or move for like ten years then how could they not know? And more importently, is anybody going to sleep in that futon again?:\

Article no longer available... I wonder why?

The article is no longer available. Is there another place to find it, or do you think they took it down because there was some serious error in reporting or translation?

The message just says they take their articles down after 2 weeks because AP has the copyright and requires it. I think we get the gist of it from the comments, though.

Maybe its the futon that's to blame...

Futon of Forgetfulness:
This seemingly ordinary, well-worn futon grants a single living creature who rests upon it the ability to slip from the minds of those who would otherwise seek out the creature for whatever reason. While neither the futon nor its occupant become truly invisible, those who see the futon and its occupant quickly loose all interest in either and, once out of the futon's presence, soon forget their existence entirely for as long as the occupant remains upon the futon. If questioned or somehow reminded about the futon's occupant, a creature will simply dismiss the matter in the simplest and most expedient way possible, usually suggesting that the futon's occupant is "away" or "asleep" if questioned and will thereafter forget the futon's occupant once more. Only creatures of 9 Hit Dice and above receive a Will save DC 18 to recall the futon or its occupant.
