Thanks for the links guys, but alas I am on a Mac.

All I really need is a legend of hex tiles that I can cut and paste in Photoshop.

Any thoughts?

That would have been good to know. :p (Sorry about the dead link, I've had the bookmark for a long time...)

Webrpg is in Java, so you should be able to run that: http://www.webrpg.com/gamesystem/index.phtml

There just isn't that much out there for the Mac. (Could be worse, I used to have an Amiga... Gods I miss that machine.)

The easiest thing to do would probably be to use Photoshop's polygon feature (assuming you have 6.0 or higher) to make hexes, cut & paste and make your own hex grid. You could then just put it on a layer above your map...

shadowlight's idea is good. I paint my maps in Photoshop, works very nice. If you can't afford Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro 8 is pretty cheap and can do most of what Photoshop can. Even cheaper, try The Gimp (instructions for installing the latest bleading-edge version for windows is here http://wiki.gimp.org/gimp/WindowsInstall )

I think I should make myself clearer :)

I am not looking for blank hexes (though I will try the polygon feature).

I am looking for hex tiles that I can copy.

1 with mountains in it, 1 with a tree, swap, hill, etc...

Sorry if I failed to be clear about it :)

Caution: Thread Hijacking!

I've heard a lot about Gimp but never used it. How does it compare to Photoshop?
