I think I should make myself clearer :)

I am not looking for blank hexes (though I will try the polygon feature).

I am looking for hex tiles that I can copy.

1 with mountains in it, 1 with a tree, swap, hill, etc...

Sorry if I failed to be clear about it :)
You were after the 4th time :)

Darraketh made up some very nifty tiles for use with Hexmapper. You can get them from my D&D page (see sig). Scroll down until you get to the Hexmaps section.

There's also the Yahoo Hexmapper_Haven group, which has a number of tile collections in its file library.

Caution: Thread Hijacking!

I've heard a lot about Gimp but never used it. How does it compare to Photoshop?

Honestly?

It doesn't even compare all that favorably to Paint Shop Pro in my opinion. I have a hell of a time doing anything on it on my laptop (which runs linux).

GIMP 1.3 (actually, the link I gave above, once all is installed, is identical in almost every way to what GIMP 2.0 will be like, once it's released -- minus some bug fixes and tweaks) is free

It's excellent if you're on a budget or have some moral obligation NOT to pirate software :)

It's also quite a small download (just shy of 17MB) compared to Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro

The *only* gribe I have about GIMP is it's interface. I much prefer Photoshop's. But at the same time I know people who swear by GIMP's multi-window workspace which is very good if you use multiple monitors (as many artists do). All I can say to prospective GIMP users is: try it! It's easy to install and FREE, with many loyal users backing it. The Linux graphic artist's tool of choice.

Though... now that you can run Photoshop under Linux (thanks, Disney) a lot could be changing :P

If you still wanna know more about The GIMP, explore the GIMP wiki. All of the information there will eventually find it's way onto a newly improved version of their website. http://wiki.gimp.org/gimp/FrontPage

Nice page dude! Excellent stuff :)

Thanks for the links, they are really appreciated.

Sorry for those multiple posts everyone, it was just one of those weird hiccups my computer went through. I was not trying to spam, honest.

Well now I see... Silly computers ;)

Well I can't run this program either as it is a PC program.

Tried to get virtual PC running on my machine, and that crapped out since the program requires a patch that won't run in Win98 (8 character file names vs 32).

Sigh.

Thanks anyways guys :)
