I've been trying to get these updated before GenCon, and I think I have. Here's a list of what's new for each:
Dungeonographer: Dungeonographer RPG/Fantasy Dungeon Map Software
-A Random Dungeon Generator!!!! It is basic at the moment, but definitely give it a try. There are some config options, and more will be added along with more complexity.
-Last week I already posted about the "Freehand" line drawing improvement as noted in Hexographer section (below) as well as the save as classic blue map and/or isometric map feature.
Hexographer: Hexographer Hex Map Software: Home
-"Freehand" line drawing now allows point-to-point (by clicking points) instead of just dragging a mouse to created a "Freehand" line. (There was also a separate "Snap-to-Vertex" line drawing mode which did work by clicking points, but as it says it would/does snap your points to a grid.
-Nine new feature icons: X, Landmark, Windmill, Resources, Gemstones, Bridge (to cross rivers and such, rotate and scale it using the controls below these buttons on the same panel), Trap, Tombstone, and Plant (Another type of resource). Many of these were added to sync up with some icons Pathfinder's hex crawl modules are using.
Coat of Arms Design Studio: Coat of Arms Design Studio: Home; Design/Create a Coat of Arms for Free
-Load and Save functionality. For a while I felt the designs were basic enough that they could be easily re-created. But enough requests for a load and save were made that I added those features. (Found on the "File" menu of course.)
And We/I'll be at GenCon in the Entrepreneur's section of the Exhibitor's hall, booth 1942. I've made up a slew of 11"x17" free (to you) handouts. One side has a 1"/square battlemat of an inn (because what GM doesn't need that once in a while) made with Dungeonographer. The reverse has an island (perhaps a "lost" island or pirate's base or just an eerie stopover location) made with Hexographer. They are printed on 100# glossy paper, and about 1/2 are laminated.
