I've been...er...around. ^_^
Back to the hijacking! woot!
The cant is something I don't mind too much, but I think, as much as it's alright, that I could definately live with a clear in-game and out-of-game distinction between cant and rulespeak.
I think I actually agree. In-character. Fine. Out-of-character...naaah. It may be going against the style, but I still think it can be rather confusing, not to mention intimidating for introducing new people to the setting.
Problem with reviving PS is that it depends on the Great Wheel and other WotC-trademarked things. It has to be done by them, pretty much. You *could* take it away and genericize it. Or if the MotP becomes OGL, PS has potential to be made, but that has potential to loose a lot of the coolness in PS. The fact that one day your PC's could be arranging a peace accord with a Slaadi and a chicken sandwich, and the next day you could be saving Faerun from something wicked while Elminter was out boinking some other 200-year-old muchy uber-wizard.
Anyhoo. I do think Spelljammer is a cool concept, but, sadly, will never get the magazines (subscription...before I thought it was useless....now...I'm not so sure...Faction PrC's, revived settings...)
