Hey while you're at it WOTC.

Not to mention that any character explicity takes up more vertical space, and has more vertical reach than they do horizontal. It's right there in the PHB. Vertical <> Horizontal.

Now I understand why DDM needs to be revised: Starting with 4e, every miniature will be contained in a transparent cube to represent their position in space. Large numbers of additonal, empty cubes will be available to support miniatures in their respective positions.

The DDM Gelatinous Cube, like so many other things put out by WOTC these days, is simply a teaser for what everything else will be like starting in March 2008.

Because all D&D takes place indoors and involves creatures that don't fly or swim.
