One of the people playing in my game is The Compleat Anime Fangirl, and whenever I describe a hideous monster and show them a picture, she thinks it's the cutest thing she's ever seen. Sigh.

They are cute. Well, I'm not an anime fangirl (although I am a Disney freak which some might say is slightly worse) but it is so true. 80% of the monsters in the manuals are adorable.

She knows a cute monster when she sees one then. I have a hard time killing Kobolds in my games. And, I had a terrible time during a game where we had to kill baby owl bears!
