Hidden Talent for a Soulbow

Dandu

First Post
Alright, I am refining a Soulbow build using ACFs for the Soulknife from The Mind's Eye.

Hidden Talent grants 2 power points and a first level power from any list, while the Bonus Feat option replaces Psychic Strike with a bonus feat.

I want to hear opinions on what first level powers would be good for a Human Ranger 2/Soulknife 3/Soulbow 10/Kensai 5.

Feats are
1: Point Blank Shot
1: Combat Expertise
2: Rapid Shot (Ranger bonus feat)
3: Weapon Focus: Mindblade (Soulknife bonus feat)
3: Precise Shot
5: Strategic Reassignment (Soulknife bonus feat)
6: Knowledge Devotion
6: Zen Archery (Soulbow bonus feat)
8: Psionic Shot (Soulbow bonus feat)
9: Psionic Meditation
10: Fell Shot (Soulbow bonus feat)
12: Woodland Archer (Soulbow bonus feat)
12: Mage Slayer
14: Greater Psionic Shot (Soulbow bonus feat)
15: Pierce Magical Concealment
18: Pierce Magical Protection

Favored Enemy: Arcanists.
Knowledge skills: Arcana (5), Dungeoneering (1), Geography, Nature (5), Psionics (5), Religion (1), the Planes (1)

Mind Arrow enchantments:
+2 Lucky (+1) Seeking (+1) Bane (+1) Force (+2) Splitting (+3)

Now, what first level psionic power would fit? I personally like Synesthete. You have blinded my archer, you say? Well, up yours!

You really can't go wrong with Dimensional Hop(CPsi). One of the reasons Anklets of Translocation are SOOOO popular is that a swift action 10' teleport is infinitely useful. This gives you that, multiple times per day. Its augmentable, but works just fine unaugmented as well, unlike some of the other nice 1st level powers like Astral Construct.

Don't forget to visit the Earth Node. Its worth about 4500g, but gives you 5 extra PP per day. Thats 5 extra uses of your first level power. Also, a Torc of Power Preservation (the MIC one, its cheaper) will allow you to augment 1 point up to 5 times per day, giving you 15' teleports at no additional PP costs (since you don't have a ML, you can't spend extra PP even if you have them).

Teleportation effects are pretty good, but the Anklets are cheap and I can't think of another way for the archer to overcome the effects of, say, Glitterdust.

The obvious choice for me was always Expansion. Better on a melee build for the reach, but for an archer you're still getting that larger die size for base weapon damage. At least...I think you do. Not familiar with Soulbow.

Btw, how are you taking Precise Shot as a general feat before you have Point Blank Shot?
