I cast speak with animals and call to the owl above me. I describe Lucius and the group to the owl and ask if anyone fitting their description has passed through here and where they are.

The owl lands atop the wall again, only a few seconds later, hooting at you softly.

You there! Tall Bearded-one! My familiar requests that you join us down on the ground, hey?

I don't remember the Nexus room not having a roof but I need a small pool of water to cast 'scry' and I don't trust the portals. I am going to pile wood, rocks and bones against one wall, shape change into an ape and then climb over the wall, out of the building and onto the ground on the other side. Then I should still have my potion of hiding working and I will hide near the structure and look around. While hiding I will change back into my human form.

You climb over the wall, and find that it is a three-story drop to the ground! You're in the top floor of a very old stone building.

In any case, you climb down easily and scamper into a hiding spot. When you peek out again, you see a huge alpine valley rising up into the nearby mountainside, littered with ruined buildings and shattered statues, dotted with stands of spruce. Chipmunks and sparrows frolic among the fallen stones.

About 80' away you see a ruined building screened by spruces. From the branches Lucius Foxhound is waving to you.

Join him here.
