As for the Time Stop stuff, what I wanted to do was cast Energy Drain to bestow a ton of negative levels, thus lowering saving throws. I see that isn't possible, and the problem I have is with my attack bonus, there is no way I can hit a touch attack against the stuff we fight.

My character is a very good spellcaster, but my init bonus is very weak and I never go first which is a problem, any ideas?

Try casting Quickened TrueStrike before making touch attacks.

Also, at these levels it's very useful having the Automatic Quicken Epic Feat (taken 3 times) and Extra Quicken Epic Feat a few times; this would allow to throw a lot of quickened spells for free on your round. I.E. If you took extra quicken 10 times, you could launch 11 quickened spells for free + your regular spell per round.

The Persisten Spell Feat is a must on these levels; you can cast permanently on yourself spells such as Kaupaer skittish nerves (Magic of Faerun) as a lv7 spell (persistent) to grant +5 initiative; of course Improved initiative and it's Epic partner helps; the best solution would be to develop some epic spells that boost initiative and other stats, though.

Persistent Spell works on spells with a "fixed or personal range". Kaupaer's skittish nerves has a range of Touch.

I'd say "touch" is quite a fixed range; but maybe you're right. It just seems a perfect spell for persistent... :)

Hmm, I hadn't thought of it that way, but you make a good point.

edit: The 3.0e FAQ says Touch is not considered a "fixed" range. There are quite a few entries in the 3.0e FAQ that should be in the 3.5e FAQ. :(

Persistent spells specifically doesn't work with touch-range. This is errataed.

At those levels, Gate is really THE spell. Summon anything under 100HD. Go through the ELH. Take your pick.

As for losing initiative rolls: by level 50 you can and should should have Shapechange on all day. So stay in Gloom form for the obscenely high dex.

Oh, and you should always have a Mord's Disjunctions available - unless this got nerfed, which seems a common houserule.

Simulacrum lets you create 50% copies of youself - which are still lvl25 spellcasters - for virtually no cost.

Polymorph Any Object grants you the target creature's Int score. Use it to morph into an Ethergaunt (from FF). That solves your Int problem (though at lvl50, it won't be better than someone who pumped ALL of their ability bonuses into Int.)

Wow guys thanks for the replies! Lots of good ideas here that I haven't been doing.

Rkhet, you mentioned Shapechange. Now I always thought you change form but retain your current ability scores and other character traits? Maybe I'm wrong. If so how can I use this to my advantage? :o

Yes I do use Morden's Disjunct. It's one of my favs. :D Simulacrum I haven't looked into, but I will now hehe. You said it creates a duplicate, but does this copy have spell casting ability and my feats and what not? Or is it just an illusion that can do nothing?

Quicked Truestrike - awesome I forgot about that spell. :)

Thanks again guys!

Simulacrum lets you create a 50% copy of any creature with HD up to twice your caster level. Don't duplicate yourself, duplicate the 100HD creature you were thinking about gating in. This is actually open to severe abuse, although I suppose that's relative at 50th level. If you make simulacrums of creatures that have gate or wish as spell-like abilities, you could get an awfully good return on your XP investment.

Read the description of Shapechange. You get virtually everything except for spell-like abilities and BAB. You keep your mental scores, but take on the creature's physical scores.

Awesome, I hate to keep asking questions. But what would be a good thing to shapechange into? You said a Gloom, but I dont have any monster books, so I'm not sure what that is. :)
