Highlander is...

Highlander had really only one good true movie to it and that of course was the first. Was interesting and entertaining. I don't even acknowledge that they made any subsequent movies if I can help it. All were really horrible and did little justice to the first and it's ending. Should have been a stand alone movie. This comes from a guy who almost always wants to see an interesting story continue but I now wish they had not with this story. Sad, but maybe someday we can time travel back and prevent it from happening for the good of humanity as we care about it.

The first movie set the standard but I think the television series was what really made it so good. Six seasons of mostly well-written and interesting stories that gave the characters more depth than could be accomplished in a 2 hr. movie.

Speaking of movie sequels, the best parts? The female co-stars. Yummy... :)

So why couldn't #4 be good!!! They had the whole series to back them up, and I think a lot of people went in wanting that same feel... then they reverted to crappy movie.

Highlander is... like Star Wars, something they should have known when to say no.

I liked the series too, sadly though, i never got to see in any consistent way, so i've seen episodes from every season but never in order.
