We're almost there.

Someone has to applaud my bravery first, though.

Anti-hivers? How can this bother anyone?

A month or so ago, several people hoped onto a Hivemind saying it was essentially unneccessary crap and we should get a chat room somewhere. =bleep= 'em if they can't take a joke. (name that movie)

Not that I've seen. It doesn't matter much though, It'd take a while for me to get comfortable enough to actually play.

You should look for some. It always takes me a while with new people too, but the trick is to bite the bullet and try to make new friends even though you don't feel that comfortable. I met my first gaming group (well bits of it) at a convention and I was so tempted to just wander round and talk to no one, but I forced myself to start talking to people and I ended up being invited to my first game. By Simson, the DM Tallarn and I were just talking about -- in a D&D Weakest Link game DMed by Tallarn's brother with Tallarn as a DM assistant.

My point is, it's well worth looking people out and trying to make contact, even though it's hard work.

Dude! you're dancing on the ceiling!

I thought it was something else when my wife found herself dancing on the floor (4 smirnoff's, a sex on the beach and something else I didn't catch the name of but cost 7 dollars)

Thanks everyone for applauding my bravery! (It was Tallarn's character's life I was trying to save. Sadly, it didn't work.)

Ah, but they're gone now, right?! :)

*unable to name that movie* :)

That D&D weakest link was really good. It changed the quite a few people's views on gaming at conventions. The next year even more people wanted to join in the game at Dragonmeet.
