Weird. I had never heard of the ArkLaTex at all before I got here. Not one of those "ooh! I gotta go THERE!" places.

My grandparents used to live in Alabama and grandpa liked to go driving all over the place. So, we went through many of the southern states and we'd get lost on the back roads or the car would break down, fun stuff liek that.

Sounds like fun! I've only visited/lived in Texas, Louisianna, and Mississippi as far as the south goes.
