To think, my doctor told me when I moved from Houston my health problems would diminish. Boy, was he wrong. Its even more humid here than in Houston, which I could not belive at first. This town has a really high water table, compared to the rest of the area, and the damp really messes with me.

You know, I think I should never have gone to read that flame war. I really try to remain civil, even somethig that does bother me on these boards I approach from a rational perspective, and if it angers me, I walk away. That's whats great about this medium, you can take your time, its not in your face and immediate. Why get so deeply personal as they did in those posts.

I found it funny to read, mostly because I was in no way involved. I was really laughing at some stuff on there.

But yeah, I don't understand flames much either. I've been in a few of them, and it wasn't fun. It's just desperately trying to distract from how foolish you look by pointing the finger at the other guy, hoping that will work. But it never does, so you just try harder, cycling down into a spiral of anger and shame...

...but I swear, someday soon I'm going to say that "I'm going to hug you. That's right! This is a hug threat!" line somewhere. That one was poetry in motion.

Now, that was funny/scary/enlightening. It really said something about that relationship, didn't it? These guys obvously knew one another fairly well, it was personal, no way around that.

I have had friendships end irrevocably for what might seem less than that.
