Yes, our definitions of heatwave differ. Mine is about 10 degrees lower than yours (around 30 degrees, 33 is the hottest we've had, like, EVER).

Hehe, thought so. Heatwave here means 40 degrees plus. We had a day over summer where it reached 44. The hottest I can remember being in was 46.

As far as I'm aware, that's about as hot as it gets up there. It's funny; we are in the colder climate but get hotter weather during summer, though on average it is hotter up there.

Not much. The heatwave has broken: we now have rain, I have no coat or umbrella and I'm wearing sandals. My feet are cold.
